about us
grace lim - founder and TRAINER
A passionate event profesional, an educator
and a lifelong learner

Grace has close to 10 years of event management experience in the local and international market. She spent the first three years of her career in Singapore Expo, and coordinated the logistics for events ranging from a few hundred to more than a thousand participants.

Grace then ventured into the China market in 2004. In her five years in Shanghai, she set up an overseas offce for a Singapore event company, before joining Munich International Trade Fairs (Shanghai) Pte Ltd in 2005 to manage bauma China 2006 and 2008, Asia’s biggest construction machinery show. She was also engaged as a consultant by the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium to organise the 7th International Aquarium Congress, which was held in China for the first time. Grace decided to move back to Singapore in December 2008 and was a team member of the inaugural Singapore Youth Olympic Games (SYOG) 2010 Organizing Committee.

Upon completion of SYOG, Grace entered the education sector and became a lecturer in the Republic Polytechnic, teaching in the area of events, exhibitions and conferences. In her six years as a lecturer (she was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2017 and nominated for the President’s Award for Teachers in the same year), her scope of work was not limited to teaching. She was also appointed the lead advisor of an event management interest group. She guided six batches of management committee to coordinate an average of 15 external events as well as ensuring that at least one event is organised annually. Due to her continued passion to groom more event professionals, Grace decided to set up her own training school - Aeventage in July 2017.

As the founder of Aeventage, Grace developed customised event management courses for adults and youths. She was the course developer and trainer for six runs of the A*Star Event Management workshop from Years 2018 to 2019, and the event management workshop under the Youth Corps Leaders Programme (Immersion) in April 2018 and 2019. She was appointed recently as one of the trainers for the Professional Event Management (PEvM) and Professional Conference (PCM) courses under the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS).

Aeventage is a training school that nurtures youths with life skills that are critical for their future. Real work-life experiences is used as an enabler to achieve this mission. Due to the dynamic nature of events, it helps to simulate the real work-life experiences needed to develop competencies in collaborationcommunication and problem solving in

fun and effective way.
